Day of Mindfulness (DOM) planned for Sunday May 15, 2022
in the Zen Buddhist tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh and Plum Village

Please join us for an outdoor Day of Mindfulness (DOM) in a beautiful spot off of Highway 14 south of Tijeras.
We will bring our own lunches, plus plenty of our own water and drinks. You can optionally also bring individually prepackaged items to share if desired. Also bring a hat, sunscreen, jacket, water, cup, cushion, blanket, beach towel, or yoga mat.
Directions: The Carolino Open Space is about a 30-minute drive East then South from central Albuquerque. From I-40, take exit 175 (Tijeras exit) south on Highway 337 (South 14). Proceed 9.3 miles and look for a sign to the Carolino Canyon Open Space on your left. Turn in and proceed to upper meeting area, then park in the lot.

Meeting time changed to 4:00-5:30 pm in Winter, 5:00-6:30 pm in Summer
By consensus vote, the Sangha has agreed to change our meeting schedule to Sundays 4:00-5:30 p.m. during the winter and 5:00-6:30 pm during the summer. The changeovers will be at the Spring equinox (March 20, 2022) and the Fall equinox (September 22, 2022 ). Reminders of the meeting time changes will be included in the weekly emails around the times of the changeovers.
Until further notice, we continue to have hybrid meetings, both in person and by Zoom. To get the Zoom logon information, or to get on our weekly email list, you can contact any one of us.

in the Zen Buddhist tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh and Plum Village

We will bring our own lunches. You can optionally also bring individually prepackaged items to share if desired. Also bring a hat, sunscreen, blanket or yoga mat, water and other drinks desired. For everyone’s safety we will be wearing masks and distancing.
Directions: from I-40, exit onto Tramway Blvd. north. After the Academy Road traffic light, turn right onto Simms Park Road and travel east to the entrance booth. Tell the attendant you are with the Rainbow Sangha Day of Mindfulness and you won’t have to pay to enter. Turn left and follow signs to the Kiwanis area parking lot.
